Our Story
1902
IN THE BEGINNING...
DARBYS Brewery was established at Greets Green. The name became real. The beer began to flow. A legacy was born.
1923
A recognised name
DARBYS pubs sat at the heart of West Bromwich life. In 1923, the Prince of Wales stopped at the Halfway House - one of the DARBYS pubs.
1900s–1940s
Growth
DARBYS expanded across the Black Country to own 100 pubs and becoming woven into the fabric of local life. A name people trusted. A beer people loved.
1940s
A Moment in History
DARBYS supplied beer to the American Army during World War II. In the darkest hours, our beer was there. A defining moment. A point of pride.
1951–1952
The End
Death Duties meant that the Darbys' could not continue. The doors closed. A respected name disappeared from pubs. Decades of heritage, suddenly silent.
THE REVIVAL

2026
THE GREAT REVIVAL
